Elsinore Magazine Stands Firm

ELSINORE MAGAZINE 2

May 9, 2005 In spite of personal attacks made, EM2 will continue to report the truth with the facts that apply.

Obviously, there are people out there who cannot argue the factual content of the articles. Hence, stooping to a new low, level personal attacks trying to create something they know not the truth on. This situation could prove to be another City Hall mess, similiar to San Diego. Which, according to news reports, may have to file bankruptcy. EM2 feels like the problems that have hit several cities in California are like a plague that just took over and has been growing for the past 10-20 years. To many city officials, now days, want the citizens not to know what is really going on at city hall because of the actions of a few officials before them. So, choices were made and here we are, stuck with the cleanup detail. Many of our problems could have been solved immediately by a newly elected official stepping forward, upon discovery, and calling for a halt to an improper action. Instead of going with the flow( of Money). God only knows where our budget stands. With the help of the city attorney, we may be on the verge of bankruptcy our ownselves!!! Just in, EM2 has recieved news that a housing project, approved by the City Council last year, has been shut down. The news, coming from a good source, is that the city ignored existing maps in approving the project, which clearly show earthquake faults and preola zones.

Is this going to turn into another law suit against the taxpayers?

The other news is, had it not been for another watchdog citizen who reported the boondoggle project, those houses would have been built. The buyers of those homes would have never known until it was to late.

Imagine, deliberately building and selling homes putting families in jeopardy for the almighty dollar, just to appease developement.

The ARMY CORP. OF ENGINEERS has a condition in the 404 permit that under certain flood plain developements an Enviromental Iimpact Statement (EIS) is required before developement. This statement and or study was to have been funded by the city.

Question.....Was the E.I.S. done??

Some develpoers, in the past, were brought in to make money off our money. in several cases they walked away with the big bucks, without completing or building anything. How can these kinds of situations keep popping up, costing the city dearly, when we have a Mayor that is asking "Where is God?" and proffesional employees, with a city attorney, that are supposed to be looking out for what is best for the city?

Citizens lend me your ear, this is your government, you elected and gave it powers. You are allowed to watch over it. You can even request to review public documents using THE PUBLIC RECORDS ACT if something is unclear. A good start would be to read the HEALTH and WELLNESS AUDIT.

Surf on over. In upcoming issues, so there is no doubt about the facts and truth, EM2 will be publishing both.

I think your readers would appreciate it if you identifed the developer whose project has been halted and the exact location and name of the proposed development. Without this information your posting appears to be an unsubtantited rumor and doesn't provide enough information for follow up investigations by others. Naming names gives your publication more credibility and punch.

I concur with anonymous. More facts will give your website girth and staying power, two assets sorely lacking in the Bobbi Magee homestead.

Sorry about the lack of information on the project in question. It is a KB homes project of Corydon Road basically in the flood plain. Next to the SERENITY Tract of homes. In the vicinity of close to where the airport is. Drive down Corydon Road on the lake side you will see a big KB HOMES SIGN POINTING DOWN TO THE SITE. A road or street leads to the site. Thanks for the comments.

So, I don’t get it, Watchdog sues a past City Manager on “BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS OF LAKE ELSINORE” - wins $18,000.00 then pays the Attorney and pockets the rest of the money. Why?
It appears Watchdog is not as forthcoming as she says she is. I am a Citizen of Lake Elsinore where is my share?
I think all the money should gone back to the Citizens not just one person. I mean I pay taxes just like Watchdog………..Oh - wait a minute Watchdog doesn’t pay any taxes. The Poor Citizens get screwed again.

Thank you EM2 for keeping the 'voice'. I do believe that BK, and others don't quite understand. BK has had the ear of the Council for over 8 months - BK has a problem with her neighbors. The council has solved every complaint BK has ever brought forward. Why are you, BK, so angry?

As for the KB development, where were all of you when the public hearing was going on??? Why did you not all speak up?

Buckley and Magee have, and are, trying to make this City a BETTER PLACE!!!

The "anonymous" who keeps crying about Watchdog suing the city needs to know the facts. While Watchdog was busting a corrupt former city official who stole money from the citizens, "anonymous" was sitting on her lazy fat ass, pockets turned-out, waiting for the next crook to pick them clean. What, may I ask, has "anonymous" done to clean up the cesspool?

How much you want to bet that Magee, (Kelley who has baggage) and Schiffner will vote to retain Bob Brady as City Manager in order that they may continue to keep everything under the table. There are 50 plus who have submitted an application and it is said that 20 plus are dynamite as far as experience. If those three vote to appoint Brady then maybe the taxpayers should initiate a RECALL such as Murrieta. Kelley and Schiffner definitely need to go and take Magee with them.
Forget about the naysayers, we the taxpayer should take action.

Bob Brady is just interested in special educational benefits to staff that he likes, dating staff and just being around. We need a real city manager. The City Manager should be stable and focused.

Anonymous you still don't get it. Watchdog did return money to the city and you got your share. Check the court records. I can't believe you are so dense. You split about $9,000 with the other idiot taxpayers of Elsinore. If you were smart and took the time you could get a bigger piece of the pie. But you're not and won't. So quit whining.

Ronald Clarke (Tuscany Hills)
Im a resident of lake elsinore living in the Tuscany Hills area, I did some research this morning and MK is correct,
Riverside Superior Court case no. RIC 418775 clearly states the facts,we the tax payers of Lake Elsinore are on the hook for improvements to the interchange of Bundy Canyon Road from I-15 to Mission Trail, this is at a cost of $2.3 million dollars.
This interchange is not located in lake elsinore and according to caltrans will have no affect on relieving the mess at the Railroad Canyon interchange, I also went to the city website looking for information and was at a loss to find anything current.
I will go to the city later today and ask for the information on the current Council members & city Treasurer spending habits and post them for all to read.

Ronald.

Does anyone know what happened to the Bond Audit?

The Bond audit, oh please, Magee, Kelley (whose baggage will come to haunt her) and Schiffner told them to put the audit information in the dead files at the Cultural Center. In other words they don't want you to know how much money has been rob from the taxpayers. We need a RECALL.

No big mouth 3:48 p.m. the crooks were Brinley and Molendyke - not the person who exposed them. Probably that person spent many hours and money collecting information to prove they stole our tax money. If they were innocent why did the courts make them pay the City back? In fact the city shouldn't have gotten anything back because they knew those two were stealing. You appear to open your big mouth without having the proof of how the money was divided. Why don't you go the courts and pull the papers to find out you are wrong.
